Receptionist

Salary/Hourly rate: £7.05 per hour - National Living Wage is offered to those over 25

Edinburgh City Hotel is located just a few minutes from Edinburgh's city centre and principal financial district. The old and new towns are within easy reach, and tourist treats such as Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace are easily accessible from the hotel. With 52 bedrooms, restaurant and bar facilities, this is an ideal location for guests on leisure and business alike

We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic individual to join our Reception team, who will provide a friendly welcome and efficient customer service to our guests. Main duties involve taking reservations either by telephone or email, entering and updating reservations from travel agents, carrying out daily correspondence checks, checking guests in and out of the hotel, dealing with guest enquiries and requests. Responsibilities will also include the safe and all floats as well as serving in our bar. This role will require policies and procedures to be followed consistently, therefore attention to detail is essential. 5 shifts out of 7, shifts are typically 7.00am - 3.30pm or 2.30pm - 11.00pm, on a rota basis and weekend work will be included

Room Attendant

The duties involved are making beds, dusting, vacuuming, emptying bins and cleaning bathrooms along with any other related tasks as required such as public area cleaning. Previous experience is preferred however not essential and training will be provided from the day of your induction
